Home Workout, Cocoa Pancake Recipe & VEGA Review

Home Workout

No gym, NO PROBLEM, no excuses!!!! 

Try out this strength/cardio circuit:
Do 3 rounds for around a 35 minute workout.
And add some WEIGHTS or resistance! Such as bands, or a duffel bag stuffed with clothes or textbooks! No excuse for not getting a decent workout in when you're suck at home!

Remember to warm up and cool down properly


Cocoa Protein Pancakes

  • 1 tbs flax meal
  • 3 tbs water
Combine above 2 ingredients and let sit for 1-2 minutes
Then blend with:
  • 1 scoop whey protein
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 3 tbs apple sauce
  • 1 tbs greek yogurt
  • 2 tbs almond milk
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
Cook the blended batter like pancakes!
Top with some delicious peanut butter like I did :P

Here's a review of the 3 flavors!

French Vanilla
Mixed it with a straw in water and it seemed to mix well! But when I drank it, it was a bit powdery tasting. Good strong vanilla taste though! Next time I'll try using a shaker bottle! But out of all the flavors, this was probably my favorite.

This time I tried blending it with a banana and almond milk, so as to get rid of the chalky powdery consistency and taste. It helped a bit, but there was still the gritty grainy consistency! But I did get the good chocolate flavor in there. Maybe next time I'll try to blend even more solids!

 This time I blended it with ice to see if it would help, and it did, because the chunks of the ice helped mask the texture. However this was my least favorite flavor because personally, I don't like berry shakes! I'd much rather a sweet and guilty tasting one hahaha! :P

So seriously, an energizer that's only 5 calories, and sweetened by natural stevia?! YES please!
I tried both flavors before a moderate intensity exercise of light weights mixed with high intensity plyos and it gave me good energy!  Not jittery but not crashing either!
I'd have to say my favorite flavor was the acai berry! Nice and subtly sweet!
